A Day of Sentence Building

After Thomas' nap this afternoon I drug him out to Hancock Fabric (where I work part-time) to pick up a few things that I didn't buy after my shift. I was talking to a co-worker about all the things Thomas has managed to put in his mouth that shouldn't be there in the last 22 months. The most recent was a rock he found and wanted to take to Nana. (Okay, so the taking the rock to Nana was just a ploy to get.him.in.the.car while trying to GET to Nana's in the first place).

My specific words were "Last week Thomas ate a rock he was taking to Nana. Didn't you eat a rock, Thomas?" Thomas looked at me and politely said "I - ate - rah." It's his first real sentence. I'm so proud (I think). *giggle* He then proceeded to repeat the sentence for the next hour and a half.
