Jackson Pollack in Training?

It started out so innocently. I gave Thomas a wooden picture frame to paint for Daddy for Father's Day. Note Thomas painted mostly the area where the picture is supposed to go.

Then Thomas decided to paint the butcher's paper I put down to protect the table from paint. Thomas also managed to paint both of his hands and one arm, but I didn't get a picture of that.

Then I suggested we go outside and paint on an old sheet with our feet and hands. It's a project I've been wanting to try for a long time, as I thought Thomas would thoroughly enjoy. He did.

He also enjoyed painting himself, the sidewalk and the steps on the front porch. Daddy was NOT pleased!

Jackson Pollack in Training?

The artist's session ended with Daddy hosing him down in the back yard, followed by a nice warm bath provided by Mommy. Thomas still has paint stains down much of his left side, but I suspect it will fade over the next few days.
